Approval of public documents for use abroad
GENERELT
Beskrivelse
For a Norwegian document to be valid in other countries, it must bear an apostille stamp. You may need this, for example, if you wish to get married abroad and one of the parties is a Norwegian citizen, or if you intend to buy or sell property abroad.
The documents must first be signed by the notary public; that is, by a court official or at the district court. The apostille stamp thereby legalises the document and is a confirmation that the suignature of the notary public is genuine.
Pris for tjenesten
The apostille stamp is free of charge. However, you are required to reimburse any costs of acquiring or copying the documents.
