Crisis centres

Do you need shelter in an acute situation – someone to talk to, someone you can trust? You can contact the crisis centre directly. All the staff are bound by a duty of confidentiality. Among other things we can offer:

• Someone who will listen to what you have to say
• Information about your rights, advice and guidance over the phone or at a personal meeting
• A temporary shelter for you and your children
• Assistance in contacting a doctor, lawyer, police, social services and other organisations providing help.

Violence, maltreatment and assault against women and children is a major problem in society with serious consequences for those affected.

State and municipal grants are given for operation of the crisis centre. The crisis centre is not part of the municipality's ordinary activities, but it is the municipality that applies for central government grants and approves the crisis centre's budget.
