Do you live at home and have a need to come out of an isolated existence? Or do your relatives have a need for a break? An offer of day help will give you the opportunity to participate in different activities or rehabilitation measures.
Målgruppe
The elderly, physically disabled indivduals, persons with a psychological handicap, etc.
Kriterier
You should be living at home and not recieving other forms of assiatnce.
Day help is not a service that is required to be offered by law, but it may be provided to meet a need for assistance that entitles one to the service pursuant to the Social Services Act
Veiledning
You may contact the municiplaity for assistance in applying for day help, or you may ask others to do this if required. If another person applies on your behalf, he or she must present a power of attorney signed by you.

You must attach a power of attorney if someone makes an application on your behalf.
Saksbehandlingstid
The municipality will consider the application at the earliest opportunity. If the matter cannot be determined within one month, you will receive written information with the reason for this. At the same time you will be informed when a decision is expected to be made.
Søknadsbehandling
The municipality will obtain the information necessary to determine the application. A decision will then be made. Normally you will receive a reason at the same time. You will always be given a reason if there are grounds to believe that you may not be satisfied with the decision. If a reason is not given, you may then contact the municipality within the time limit for any appeal.
Klagemulighet
If you are not satisfied with the decision, you may appeal to the municipality within three weeks of having received the decision. Explain why you are not satisfied and why you feel that the decision should be changed. If you need advice, you may contact the municipality. If the municipality upholds its decision, the matter will be sent to the county governor, who will decide whether the appeal shall be allowed.
