Physiotherapy can be given to prevent and to treat an illness or injury. The physiotherapist is either a municipal employee or engaged by the municipality. You may receive treatment in a group or individually. This is part of the municipal multidisciplinary habilitation and rehabilitation service and is also offered to nursing homes.
Social services covers expenses related to the examination and treatment by a physiotherapist in whole or in part (but only where the physioherapist has an agreement with the municipality). The patient pays a basic charge where the diagnosis does not entitle the patient to free treatment. Treatment and transport to the place of treatment is free for children under the age of 12.
