Do you have care responsibilities which mean that you have a need for relief assistance? The municipality can, for example, offer assistance in the form of domestic help, day help, or a short stay at a nursing home. Such relief is intended to give you the opportunity for normal leisure time and the possibility to take a holiday, and to maintain contact with your social network.
You should have considerable responsibilities for care. It is the municipality which in conjunction with yourself, determines which services shall be made available. Factors which are taken into consideration include:
- whether you have care respionsibilities which take many hours each month
- whether the care responsibilities are more physically or psychologically demanding than normal
- whether the responsibilities involve much nightwork or interruption to sleep
